The high Andes mountains in Peru are cold, desolate, and at first glance, there seems to be little sign of life. But appearances can be deceiving; it is precisely in these extremely remote areas that indigenous communities live together in small, tight-knit communities. However, these indigenous populations live in poverty and struggle to survive in the cold mountain climate. They lag behind in society and find it difficult to connect with the rapidly changing world in Peru's major cities. Educational disadvantage, in particular, is a major problem. Nordic Woods wants to help in collaboration with the HoPe Foundation (Holland - Peru). Through projects focused on early childhood education, we hope to improve the future of these children.
